I didn’t think personal training would be necessary over the long-term to be honest, but I really like how sessions have been going. But since learning that there is more to working out than I thought, and that progress takes continuous adjusting of exercises I really appreciate having routines created for me. “I never liked working out. It wasn’t fun for me. I always felt that working out would be too hard for me, I’d get hurt, I wouldn’t stick to it and I wasn’t strong enough to start. Jenn taught me that I need to enjoy the workout in order to turn it into a routine that I would stick with. We worked through different styles to find one that was fun for me, and if I didn’t enjoy a particular exercise then I don’t have to do it. She helped me find exercises that I actually did enjoy doing that got the same result as the ones I didn’t. Jenn also showed me ways to modify if an exercise is too difficult.
I worked online with Jenn as she was not based in my hometown. I really like how Jenn could work within my capabilities, modify and adapt to my likes and dislikes, even online. My main goals when starting with Jenn were to gain muscle and lose some fat. I have not only gained muscle and lost fat, but I have also gained obedience and a fitness routine on my own. Almost two years later, I am still confidently going to the gym on a regular basis because of Jenn.”

As older clients, we were a little nervous to work with a new person that did not know our specific limitations, but Jenn put us at ease on this issue by working with our limitations and needs on day 1. She was friendly and showed us how to do each exercise. Jenn was great at observing so that even on Zoom she knew we were doing the exercise correctly so that we did not injure ourselves. I appreciated the way she counted down so we knew the extent of each exercise. I liked the progressions of her classes. She was able to increase the activity when we were ready for a more vigorous routine. My main goals were mobility and strength training. After working with Jenn I now feel good about exercising regularly.”

“When I started working out in Jenn’s online fitness class for seniors I was afraid I was not going to be good at keeping up, but I was fine. Jenn gave alternatives to exercises if it affected our injuries. My goal was to maintain good strength and bone density (which I am happy to say I have great bone density now). It has also kept my knee strong so that when I go to surgery I will have an easier recovery time. The classes also help keep my back strong as I have a very bad back and it helps when I exercise. Jenn is a friendly and good teacher and I enjoy her classes very much.”
